Looking for some advice here really.
Just bought a 1989 Orion 1600E, it's a really immensely clean car, low mileage, single family ownership and all that business.
Anyway, I'm looking to give the underside some attention. I don't want to go mad and paint it all or anything like that, but I had intended to get all the surface rust off the boot floor etc, and then treat and try and seal it to keep it all as good as possible.
What's the best way of going about this? Wire wheel to remove surface rust I presume, but what are the best steps to take after that? I'm not too interested in painting the underside to match the car or anything, that's probably a bit excessive, more just what to use to paint and then seal it with.
Plenty on here have gone bufty on their undersides, so what's the best way!
Thanks

Wire brush, then paint with Rustbuster Epoxy Mastic 121. That is the best bar none, and isn't expensive considering.
You could paint over that if you want it, or just leave it as it comes. You can get it in a few different colours anyway.

Thanks Mike, got a link at all? What sort of finish does it give?
Nice that isn't it, up for nine hours on one of the biggest forums around, and one reply, don't I feel special
