Default 2.0i Pinto Valve Stem Seal replacement

Does anyone have a link to a guide showing how to replace valve stem seals on a Pinto, preferably without taking the head off?

I already have the valve stem seals and I'm quite confident about doing them myself (I replaced the whole bottom end oil seals a couple of months ago) but I just need a poke in the right direction.

Also, is it normal for valve stem seals to wear out within 15000 miles? I had them replaced when the head gasket blew 15000 miles ago and now it's started to smoke again on startup. The head has a high lift cam in it, would this accelerate valve stem wear?

Alternatively, anyone fancy a trip to Blackpool for the day and fancy giving me a hand do it? Beer and Pizza will be provided.

TIA

what valve stem seals did u use? there were 2 types, the little ones that slot over the stem and one that was a spring seat aswell so it held the seal in place?

Head needs to come off, it's not that big a job and can be done in an afternoon with all the right tools handy.

For the cost of getting a special spring compressor to do it with the head on, I'd rather pull off the head - give it a quick clean down, re-lap the valves, all in an afternoon.
