i´ve had my capri since 1991.started its life as a 2.0 S.was a bith boring so i bought a 2.8 I and used it for a little while.in 1993 i put a turbo on that lump an it was wery good but the quest for more power made me sell that and install a cossie lump in it.used the car until 1998 with green injectors,3 bar ++ then upgraded the engine to grey´s larger turbo++.was running 324HP@rear wheels.bit scary since you couldn´t get any traction with it.so i decided i should convert it to 4x4 but since that everything has stood still.the engine is in my sapph and the car is just sitting there hpoefully i will get the time (and money) to finish what i started next year.
Merry Christmas everybody

Hi you guys just thought i would tell you about what i have discovered about capris. i am Only 16, 17 in a month. And i race stockcars, i bought a 2.8i special capri by auction over the internet with a little bump to the back(like really minor) it said it had done 70k so we thought 170k but it had only done 70k. The plan was to race it. but when i got it home i drove around in it a little i really did fall in love with it, so much so i couldnt race it, ( sad eh!) so i played around in it for a while, it is the greatest feeling ever to have it slide like a capri does and it sounds amazing. i sold the car now, i only had it for 6 weeks, but i will have another. Obviously i couldnt afford to keep it right now. But i will buy another. Now i have a 2.9 sierra to race the guy previouys spent 1500 on the engine and it flies. And a 1.8 16v mk6 escort for the road. But i would still rather have my capri back. Anyway i just thought i would tell my opinion on The Capri. Tom

Heya i live on a farm so can get insurance on most things, but the capri
was a bit dear, the plans was also a mk2 escort, rs2000 we could have
had one but as they would only insure me third party i didnt want to risk a
classic. Besides my mk6 is a really nice car to drive and will do for now.

Hey people, fairly new to the site. This post seemed the best place to start. Owned a 1974 Mk II capri XL at 16 and had that till last year, Now at 21 running a 1986 Mk III Laser 1.6. Running on Twin 40's. Picked up some 7 spoke 2.8i wheels last night for it. 2ltr conversion now set for end of May, got the engine just need the time. All the cars look the great.

Keep the legand live people
