yeah its a rs mate didnt think i had to mention that

not many left running on twin coils now,could never get it to run properly on them

yes towbar is a down side tho recaro badges are jus stuck on so can be removd no prob

every time i see a 16i i cant help but admire them today i see a blue one and ohh my just fell in love with it i am on the look out for a xr3 or decent shell as i want to do a moonstone blue 1600i rep with a zetec in it on carbs

 

a know mate id be puting it back to standard if i was keeping it but just going to sel it as it is.who ever buys it can then do what they want to it as it would easly put back to standard if wanted.cheers for the comment

Always liked these after my m8 had two of them,crap brakes though.

 

Brakes are great..just renew the linkage bushes and stop the bulkhead flexing where the linkage is mounted with a bracket/weld on plate

Cant believe this hasnt sold, iv seen this in the flesh and its mint, you could eat ur dinner of it.

 

might make no odds to the sale, but personally I think the tinted lenses front and rear let the car down. looks like a cheap tinting spray mod on a car that seems to have had lots of money spent on it.

A nice set of ambers would set it off nicely and bring back some of the standard look that seems popular atm.

 

I my honest opinion I think its over priced sadly.

If you have Fast ford this month you will see my black 16i. I sold it a few weeks back for £2000 Its had twin coils, correct suspension, the lot.

 

Lee yours was a burned out car tho that you didnt get finnished & running properly this is a complete car that wasnt flung together.. Prob going to get slated for this but thats my veiw on your comment & your car. Im surprised you got any money back at all for it wouldnt have been mymoney.We all know your handy with cars & the fact you didnt finnish it says it all to me.It was completley flung together 2nd time round.This rs16i on this thread is a complete car that just needs to be drove & cleaned.

Yeah, an unfinished project that had recently resembled 1945 Nagasaki doesn't exactly hold the same appeal or value as a running car, correct suspension or not.

 

In fairness I have to say that although I was impressed with Lee's revivial of his motor, this is an another level, it looks extremly clean and rock solid, paint look lush, and maybe a touch over priced for an rs1600i at this time of years, but then finding cars that are this clean is not that easy so if he can hold out for a close offer, then fair play.

 

i thought it was well done and a v nice car, i wanted to offer 1500 and i would of driven all the way with my truck and go it for that, but i knew he would refust it so didnt bother

the above car is fantstic but iot needs to loose the tints, put std blinkers on it, normal silver the wheels and loost the plastic pink piping, it would prob be a lot more appealing

My car was complete and running. Ready for MOT. I didnt want to insure it, tax it and mot it so that makes it incomplete and shite?

Mine was v clean and totally rust free. And just as important on an rsi all original, from the twin coils even down to the correct spark plugs and bulbs.

The fast ford pics taken for the mag were not up to date when the car sold. As you can see they were taken several months ago. When they saw the car was up for sale the had to rush a photographer over to get the pics.





Im not dissing scotts car, and I wish him luck with the sale.

What I was stating is its not a good time to sell any car, let alone a RSi.
Prices are rubbish at the moment

will get new pics up wen tints,smoked lights replaced
and roll cage removed.

also if any1 intrested in swaping standard interior for the leather get in touch,plus after standard alloys.

with condition owners etc car deserves to be standard as possible i think

 

nice 16i mate like the wheels!!iv got a sunburst custom 83 something about them..mine is 4000 sounds like a bargain!
