Hi guys, got my Bonus Turbo up and running but getting naff all boost. Amal valve is working, all pipes etc are fine.
Popped my head under the old girl and i can pull the actutor rod out easily. I take it this may be my problem? Standard actutor by the way!
Regards
Danny

No you shouldnt be able to move it easily by hand! Your actuator has gon soft meaning it will not allow the turbo to make any boost.
The actuator holds the wastegate closed until enough boost pressure is made at which point the positive air (Boost)in the vacum pipe to the actuator over comes the tension of the spring in the actuator pushing the rod and opening the wastegate which directs the exhaust gasses away from the exhaust impeller slowing the turbo.
When the spring is old and goes soft lossing its tension this mean the positive air can overcome the spring very easily thus openeing the wastegate long before you want it to.
