From what i've read (never had one myself) they are good up to the point where the water gets hot and then a FMIC leaves them standing.

cool thank very much!
I suppose if it runs out of cooling ability a bigger rad and pump would help thing out.

When I had mine I used the windscreen washer bottle as its reservoir so it had a good few litres of water to play with rather than the pissy little tank that comes with it, then used there tank as my washer bottle. Never had any heat issues after that but I wasnt really running a big spec. (bayjoo chip, cooler, filter and exhaust back then)

I had one
Even when i added the 2nd water radiator it still couldnt keep the ACT's below 50 deg.
Biggest waste of money i have ever spent on the car.

Rob,
For the money you will be spending on a intercooler you will get an excellent full front mount intercooler, when you up the power of your car you will need one of these anyway, do it right the first time and save yourself the money.

that ava cooler was the bollox, retains std boost hoses and fan and has plenty airflow to the rad, plus the fact its single pass with no pressure loss, top cooler, wish id went for one when alan was tryin to blag me one instead of the grs which was a pain to fit and couldnt maintain my boost at high rpm

go to any radiator specialist and aslong as your end tanks are ok a recore will cost about £100 - no need to buy a brand new one

Quite simple really it's just that copper dissipates/transfers heat better than ally! lol

Rob,
Bought a Pace Charge Cooler a while ago with 2 pre radiators. However I've had bigger cups of coffee than the water tank reservior pace give you.
I've had a 20l tank made up and put in the boot and along with all the pipework I'm hoping that this will see some decent ACT's.
I will let you know how I get on - when I finally get it on the road in the next couple of days.
