pmsl like the weight of the windows is gunna make a huge diffference to a vans weight. lol
Your mean this one i take it,

it was running 235 bhp diesel, with a skyline intercooler/nitros/chip/decat/powerflow zorst/induction kit the guy is a member on the transit forum(nitroman), he know has converted it into a camper, but last year at fordfair it 0-60 in 7.6secs when it was his delivery van.
are them alloys the ebay 386 quid ones ??????????
my mate has just painted a 52 regger imperial blue and its having anthracite racing stripes fitted when he's back off holiday later this week, i'll take pics of it.
he wants to tow his imperial blue fiesta track car with it and needs a set of hoops.
also whats the law regards commercial vans and wheels using non commercial tyres, i heard a bloke saying he got done by vosa for the wrong fookin tyres.
i have never owned a modified van exept for a rs2000 front ended mk5 escort van and tbh vosa weren't fookin around then

it had rs2000 interior and a pro boarding out job doe with carpeting,it came from a car parts delivery firm in telford and i stuck a fast ford sticker in the back window, bout a year ago i saw me old van still in chester going well

cozzfather the wheels on the grey st van are off the transit sport from ms designs at about a Ł1000 a set not including tyres, but one problem with ethm is they are onlr weight rated fro the smaller weight transit if i remember rightly.
regarding tyres as far as im aware as long as the tyres have a high enough of a weight rating on them they should be fine, eg above half the max axle weight.

the wheels in the link mate are for the transit connect which has the same pcd of the focus and mondeo 5 stud wheels which is 5x108, a mk6 transit runs a pcd of 5x160 which is where the problem begins as not many wheel people make wheels with that large of a pcd. if you have a look at this link it shows you some of the wheels that fit a transit http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14913 and these people do wheels for the transit http://fordtransit.org/ad/redirect/20/ one other thing your mate might wanna look into is getting his van remapped as it does make a noticable difference to the power and improves fuel consumption, on the transit forum there is a guy who spealizes in van remapping and has only had positive comments said about his work, you will find a link to his sight on there. Feel free to ask anymore questions or look on the transitforum.org for more info
nice one northants man,
please tell us transit van fans what you need to do to wop the alloys i posted the link for on a tranny panel van and not the little connect tranny.
i reckon them wheels are worth modifying hubs to fit on,imagine a imperial blue tranny lowered with them on and wolf racing stripes like the wolf show cars.

on the mk6 transit van the rears arent to much of a problem you just get some hub adapters made up with out to many issues with the wheels sticking out the arch, but on the front with adapters most wheels stick out the arch by quite a bit, so the hubs need to be modified in some way. I have looked into fitting different alloys on the mk6 for a mate and it may be possible to remove the bolts that hold the brake disc to the hub and use wheel studs from the other side as i think the pcd on the disc to hub bolts are 5x108 on the mk6, but havent tried it as he is getting a local engineering shop to mod his hubs a different way instead now.
Im actually in the process of sorting out some spacer/adapters for the rear of my mk5 (smiley front) when i can find a engineering company that doesnt want stupid money. As a friend of mine on the transit forum is getting some front hubs machined up to accept the 5x108 pcd, when i get it all sort i will post up pics and also of my mates van when he aventually gets his front hubs back from his local engineering company for his mk6

fook me i never thought i would see a bedford cf in this place, i had one when i first started out in commercial vehicles and it was a very late one d reg 5 spd 2.3 diesel swb in paleish original blue, lovely drive the cf's are especially when the engine cover is leaking fumes into the cab and your feeling squiffy sniffing it all even with all the windows down

i had a bedford CF 2.3 tilt, you could never seal the rocker gasket and you would be high on fumes, i had weller wheels on mine painted gold and silver, couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding.

When i looked at buying it i walked away as the shell was scrap , you can even see the rot in the feature
It did drive well and go well tho
