Found this years ago on an urban exploration forum, it appears to be a stolen sierra cosworth, dumped in a dis-used railway tunnel.
Went down to see if I could get a closer look a couple of years ago, but there was a new housing development and they had put up big barbed wire fences to the entrance, could be a 4x4 with a fresh 200 block Some poor sod is probably still wondering what happened to his pride and joy!
Love seeing stuff like that, it intrigues me somewhat.
Me and a few friends found a similar disused tunnel round my way with what look to be a pair of Mk1 Fiestas that have been ditched at the end, both in a bad state where theyve been thrown from a great height.
Anyone got any other similar pics?
I'm sure theres a thread on Retro Rides with loads of pictures of the same type of stuff. . .
Was out on the mountain bike a few weeks back and came across a couple of burnt out shells, dunno what they were as they look like they had spent a while there but 1 thing that amazed us was how the fucking hell they got there, wasnt the best terrain for a bike and very very doubtful you could have got a tractor up there too.
i love finding cars like that.i know where theres a yard full of rotters.ill try and get some pics of fiesta, escorts, sierras and granadas all lying at the bottom of the cliffs close to me.
Thats the thread, I had done pages 1-100 already and have just skimmed the last 60odd, theres a couple of RS1600i's, an Astra GSi, loads of old Fords (Cortina's, Granada's, Escorts), a Pulsar GTi-R, Mazda 323 GTR etc etc
chop, one end there's a big housing development, so no chance of getting the car out that way unless they use a big hiab and lift it from above, the other end is the same really....
I want to go and see the engine bay and see if theres anything left
There is probably plenty more cars for people to find around the UK, I wonder how many RS500's or RS200's are about that have been forgotten about and just left as "an old car"
