need some info on Lexus is200's ? bhp , how to tell its a sport , did they face lift?
started to fancy is 200 . always liked them and found one local that is up for a deal with my st170 .
first thing is i thought they were 140 bhp but this one he says is 153 bhp ? its a 02 reg sport ?
how can i tell its a sport and not just a is 200?
did they facelift them at any point and is that maybe why its 153bhp ?
it drives spot on and sounds lovely . straight 6 and he says its vvti ? again i never knew they were vvti but is this cos im thick or cos its a later one ?
is there anything else i should know ?

i had one i sold a few months back, they are lovely cars and they attract asians and older sporting blokes.
they are good and the 6 spd boxes are tough as old boots, clutches can go snatchy and grabby. they are easy to clock so history is important as they hide the miles well.
the alcantara can go straggely on the seats, the alloys corrode shockingly bad but they are well engineered as you would expect for a toyota.
i had a sportscross estate and they are a rare old sports estate imo.
oh and they are not amazing on juice,ok on a straight motorway but thats what you get with a 2.0 straight six, the 3.0's must be shite on juice.
the sort of person who buys them though can afford to run them from what i have seen.
