A mate of mine past his test last year and has since got 6 points for speeding and use of mobile while driving. His licence has been REVOKED and he says all he has to do is pass his test again and he gets it back.I thought you were banned for 6 months under the totting up rule then you take a re-test.The way he,s talking, it's only going to take 6 weeks for him to pass his test and be driving again.

it happened to me and he is right, he can go in for his test tomorrow, provided he passes his theory 1st
It depends whether his licence is revoked or he has a ban imposed.
DVLA / Court will decide.
But when he does pass or gets his licence back, the new driver rule doesn't apply a second time.
Just noticed it said REVOKED, he just takes a test.

And when you pass you start to learn how to drive.
Doesn't sound like your mate's starting a great driving career though
. I would assume he will have 6 points on his lisence when he gets it back and there will also be a code on there for the lisence being revoked?
