I took this in PX against my cosworth - if this was the usual tat I wouldnt of bothered.
Il be honest in saying the car suprised me a lot, its such a good performance car. Im impressed with all aspects of the car i.e.
the acceleration, the handling, the ability to be a comfortable quiet everyday car when you want it to be. Its a sharp direct car, great steering. The car needs nothing doing to it at all
Just needs 2wd cosworth brakes!
Spec:
Coilovers
Front and rear strutbraces
Adjustable top mounts
2003 spec wheels on Fulda 215 45 17s
Exhaust
Blitz boost gauge
Blitz Turbo timer
Engine ground kit
Runs 1bar of boost, boosts in quickly and smoothly and pins you back
Previous owner owned a garage and did any thing that needed doing straight away
The car is 1 owner and has 80k Km so aroun 40k miles on it

Iv had a look around at how much these fetch, I have seen older decent looking ones sell up for £3500 so il price mine at
£2995

i would say it was an early import... square plate on the back, rear wiper, wind deflectors, on the later classics the dump valve bolts on to the intercooler. Still it looks like a very nice example!

Just to clarify, this is a 280BHP model its a GC8D so its MY is 96-97, its not an early model
according to wiki:
GC8D (9/1996-9/1997)
In September 1996, the WRX was updated with new styling. The 1997MY WRX now has a power rating of 280 PS (206 kW) at 6500 rpm with 33.5 kg·m (329 N·m) at 4000 rpm (280 PS at 6500 rpm with 352N*m 4000 rpm for the wagon version). The car now weighs 1250 kg (2756 lb).

Alot of car for the money i remember my mate bought a n reg inport sti from a year old and paying 17 grand that was quick and as you say nailed you too the seat and sounded awesome!!!

Its not pre facelift, its has a different front end to lets say a k or l plater

The facelift I'm talking about was interior. They change the exteriors nearly every year. On a facelift there are more cubby holes and different dials (and a different gear gaitor
)
