Next Essex rsoc meet is:

September 8th (tuesday),
7.30pm onwards,
Halfway House,(A127),
Southend Arterial Road,
East Horndon,
Brentwood,Essex,
CM13 3LL

There will be two trophys this month for car of the night,(1st & 2nd),
and a raffle with prizes to be won.

Please do not park in the little chef car park as it will be removed,please ensure that parking in the pub carpark is STRICTLY for RS cars only. If your not in an RS then park in the top area of the car park.Anyone parked in an area they shouldnt be in will be asked to move or leave the premises,sorry i have to do this as ive had complaints from RS owned cars,so they have priority !!!!

there is 2 very nice trophy's up for grabs and some great raffle prizes so get polishing and buy lots of tickets from alex, even the weathers going to be great. see you all there.

Lots of great RS's on show,we are getting bigger and bigger as a group and stronger,thanks for being there for the chairmans chat too

Next month,we will have better prizes available for raffle,and also another two trophys for car of the night, 1st and 2nd,

I was surprised to see them vote to stay out of the RSOC.

Will be interesting to see how that effects the clubs future.

 

I going to bring this to see if i win anything as i've given up with me car.

 

Really? You'll actually ask paying patrons of the pub to move their cars or leave, even tho you aren't an employee of the establishment?

 

no im talking about people who are turning up for the essex rsoc meet,not the general public

 

we have been without them for over a year,why do we need them? Their loss,not ours,dont worry about our club mate,we will only get bigger and better!

 

"Need" is a strong word, but it would certainly help having access to things like rallye news to publicise your regional day and it would be good to be welcome at national day etc.

I just think as a standalone club you will probably struggle longer term to compete with the RSOC Essex branch for members.

That said, if there is one club that CAN manage it, its essex, its got a massive and loyal following to start with, so if anyone can do it then its you guys.

I didnt vote as although I go to the meets I consider myself to be more affiliated to surrey group really so didnt consider myself to have the "right" to vote on essex, but if I had of voted it would have been to rejoin, I think its a real shame to seperate off one bunch of enthusiasts from the rest.

Another great turn out and proof that Essex rsoc has a huge following and a chairman(Alexis) who has strived to improve the club without much help.

It was good to see another vote to stay out of the RSOC as I feel the club has moved on from those old days.
