Yeah Herbert is racing the car James Thompson has been in for the first half of the season, Civic

 

im recording it, im SERIOUSLY thinking about going to rockingham and brands for the last 2, ive just been glued to the box watching touring cars this season for some reason,,,, can spend all day watching it and never get bored

 

Been awake since 0630 due to the children LOL

Went and watched many a race when we had all the works teams, Volvo Estates, Mondeos, Alfa's etc etc

Me and my old man used to go to nearly every meeting in the 90's, awesome stuff

 

its getting earlier each race isnt it? Ill be watching though

 

i agree then it got boring hence me not watching it, then i started watching it this season and,, well im hooked on the bumper to bumber racing, the stuff going if you leave the room you miss something,,,,,,,, unlike formula 1 where you can have a nap in the middle wake up and its still the same thing and overtaking is done on pit stops

 

I will admit the racing is very close

can some one give me a update? missed the last two meets,where did herbert come from,why isnt james thompson racing? how come tom onslow cole is racing?

 

Thompson was only ever going to race in "some" BTCC meets this season because he has other commitments. Mainly racing for Lada in WTCC and helping to develop their car and team. He's also racing in a few events in the Danish Touring Car Championship.

Herbert has been testing with Team Dynamics ever since he drove their car at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed, and has been lined up for about a month now to race the remainder of the season for them.

Onslow-Cole raced for AON at a meet earlier in the season when Alan Morrison was unavilable, and ever since then they've only run one car, but they brought him back for this race.

 

Who else watches the porsche cup aswell? just as exciting and i cant work out whats quicker round the track? the porker or the btcc cars? i know the porkers have about 100 more bhp but there heavier. Certainly look just as quick if not quicker?

 

Just look at the lap times!

I didn't look just, but remember they were 4secs a lap quicker at Snetterton.

Nowhere near as exciting as the BTCC races, but by far the best of the support races.

 

nice one pal,pity about james thompson,he was becoming my favourite driver and he wasnt doing too bad points wise aswell.

 

Good old Anthony Reid back on form, 3 laps into his return and already a fine and 3 points on his licence!

He's lost his licence a few times already. Legend!

 

Did anyone see his car on the end of lap 3 when he got spun out, the discs were bright red with steam coming from them
