Just been to have a look for "something" and found site no longer doing torrents

What other sites u guys and girls use for your torrents

Preferably ones that aint gonna overload my pc with spyware etc

hmmm, i tried this one yesterday and it was down also, just trying again, the main page appeas but doesnt look like any torrents are there....

 

phoenix torrents went last week too

 

Remove asterix's and replace with common letters at the begining of every web address

right i posted this yesterday and have found out some of the reason why they are all shutting down,
This is because quite a few were hosted in Finland i believe and there was a big police bust loads of people were arrested.

Think it some agency called MIIA or similar cant be arsed to go reading it all again just to get the right letters

Thing is they can get "U" done and banned from your isp for downloading stuff
If u happen to be a high user (as in ups and downs lots of files not as in Rudeys case ) they will come after "U" as well

tell me about it-only use it for occasional downloads as i'm not really aware of any other bit torrent sites

Follow the links above they got a couple some/most want u to register tho and get a minimum post count or the like.

Another one I do know that aint gonna go down without a fight (they got one of these letters of intention and replied back signing "with our normal politness FUCK OFF" ) is

Try Direct Connect (search for DC++) takes a little while to understand but it is very good

By this time next week 99% of all the torrent sites will be gone at the rate they're shutting at 5 sites last night removed all there torrents including the forum I'm a super moderator on! It's just to much of a risk at the moment but I will be continuing to encode & release my movies

 

Protowall is what your after peer Guardian is ok but nowhere near as good as protowall

But dont be kidded if you think these will 100% protect you, if the MPAA or RIAA wanna see who's downloading all they need to look at is a client where all the ip numbers of everyone who's downloading uploading is there to see. It's just the risk you have to take

Fraid I'm with Hockney on this one a/ heard Peer Guardian aint all it is meant to be and b/None of the so called blockers really work, as we aint talking about some little kid on his pc trying to track U these are proffesional organisations

Dont get me wrong Peer Guardian and Protowall do offer some security. I've had blocks from MPAA, RIAA, FBI & even the CIA in the past...over the past couple of days I'm blocking attempts from the iraq goverment

Better Join just now as Registration is open for only a limited amount of time as come new year they will be locking there doors

 

DC++ is a file sharing program.

Basically, youinstall the software and select which files to share. It adds these to a list and totals up your amount shared.

The next thing you do is join a 'hub'. Generally speaking the more files you share (total in gigabytes) the better hubs you can get into - They say things like 50Gb minimum etc and you will not be able to connect if you do not meet the entry requirements!

Join a few hubs then get searching. You will see next to each user in the search results the slots they have available 3/3 means 3 slots out of 3 empty, 0/3 means all slots are full and you will have to queue.

Join about 8 or 9 big hubs (some start kicking people who have too many hubs open at the same time) and queue some downloads and go to sleep.

It may sound daunting but you will soon get the idea!
