Default cossy hydraulic clutch's

ok took the westy out today and have snapped the clutch cable! again!
this is the 3rd one in 7 months now and im getting really pissed of!

so...... does anyone else get through clutch cables?
all 3 times it has gone just by the nipple on the pedel end. the angle that the cable goes in at all seems to be fine ect but they just keep snapping on me

so this time rather then fork out another £35 im tempted to just convert the bloody thing to hydraulic

so what i wana know is.........whos using these conversion kits, how do you find them. were did you get it and for how much ect (cheapest i found was £220 i think, from burton)

if anyone has a pic of the master cylinder or there instalation that would be great (need to see if it will fit my pedal box as its a bit tight

any help or coments greatly welcome

yea fairly close to the exhaust downpipe off the back of the turbo id say there was probably about a 2"gap, but i have 3 layers of heat protection type stuff.

the cables arnt snapping there anyway they are going at the end just were they clamp into the nipple

Try trans autosport or ralley design, they used to sell pedal boxes 2run
hydrolic, and brake bias. since iv gone hyrolic on a t5 i would never go
back . I got my hydrolic center relese bearing from summit and used a
.75 wilwood ms from ralley design hope this helps.

I had a complete pedal box made up 4 me with phossy bronze bushins im
afraid also with a strengthend bulk head , so the cost wasnt cheap cos at
the same time i had all the brake ballance bar stuff done aswell. the guy
that did mine made it so that it bolted up 2 the standard top mountin tho
I think the one TAS do is a direct replacment,if not speak to rally design
they can get someone to modify your one 4 about 90 quid.

Darren, try dax. I just bought my clutch cable from them and its pretty thick and was less than £35 iirc. If you've got a photo of yours i could tell you if it looks any thicker (my digicam broke )

£7.50 in fact and i've not heard of a dax cable going - definately not the one for a pinto as thats more expensive i think

What is the pedal box out ov, sorry ithrought it was a sierra pbox? in wich
case u could buy an HD off the shelf . trust me hydrolic is the way to go
i used 2 go trough cables every 3-4 weeks, so often i used to carry one in
the car. The WW master cilinders are only 115 mm long and u can
get them with remote resviours if space is tight.

McLeod make a release/slave for the T5 cheap, see http://www.pawengineparts.com/ as they were cheap. but you have to call them.

Reyland do a bolt in master for cossies for about £200 IIRC.

Unless someone knows where to get one that bolts into the cossie pedal assembly.???
