The old ones are rare cos they were shite! they cracked around the spoke webs . 3 Companies have owned the patent and mass produced them and improved the design over the years, watch out for the Two gates branded ones , they were the worse, Revoulution bought a lot of these and re-branded them , then Ears Motorsport produced them , the early ones again were crap and cracked until they filled in the web and sold the patent to Raceline , I reckon Racelines 5 spoke is a better wheel to be honest !!
Brom , im working on a little project to provide us with 9 x 17" ET 22 wheels at the moment at reasonable prices ! Will let you know when my engineering bloke talks to me next . Will be great on the 3drs ..
They are not that rare tobe honest alot of race team still use them today
Tony is right the early RL 7's use to crack..... the ones without the extra strenting at the rear of the spoke they are the ones that use to crack .....
if they look like this first pic No 1,these are the early RL7 notice they are not strenthend in the rear of the spoke like pic No2

theses were th later type that have been strenthend

cheers Marco

I know the Bloke who set-up and owns Raceline as it is based where i live in Warwick
This is from the horses mouth
The reason why they are so rare is to do with Foot and Mouth Diesease. The RL7 was a Rally wheel and whaen Foot and Mouth kicked off a few years ago the whole UK rally scene went down the pan, therefore raceline decieded that they would stop production of the wheel......................But not for ever if the demand was high enough.
The last time i spoke to them they were turning the wheels of motion to start production on the NEW RL7's
There you have it

not only that don't forget they brought out the RL 7 Mk2 no one wanted them because they didn't look as good as the orginal...i think Brom has set of the Mk2 wheels aswell ....i wouldn't put them on my wheel barrow
