I saw a 'blue JET plated cossie powered focus' at a place that breaks Fords in Birmingham and I then saw that same car a few weeks later at Reyland.
This looks like the same car!

To Get The Car Registered The Identity Of A Cat D Car Was Used. I Must Emphasise Though That This Is Common Place In The Track Circuit World In Order To Register A Track Car For Road Use.

Certainly looks as though it has been done well however still over priced if you as me, plus considering how cheap you can pick up a MK1 Focus for, why on Earth would they use a Cat D write off's ID?
Seems a little odd, still nice looking car nonetheless.

I always thought transplanting one car's ID onto another was called ringing, and puts you in a safe, 4x6 room for several years. Or have i missed something?
I wonder if the V5 still says "Ford Focus 1.6 LX"

misconception, ringing a car ends up in bird when one of the cars is stolen and your proven to be a car theif.
if you buy a rolled car with no insurance claim and shell it into a new or second hand shell its not the same as stealing a car and using a id of a broken or badly damaged car to put it back on the road.

It is allmost the same what i am going to do with my frst. The car itself is a complete rust bucket. But the shell i am going to buy is from germany. Just going to weld the chassis nr over in the new car and you have a new shell with the old frst nr. But here in holland its not that legal
But then again when done right nobody will know.
