Changing oil pump on a CVH turbo as mine is on its way out.

I've got the sump off and the oil pump free to move about, but I can't get it off the end of the crank, there just isnt enough room between the inner wing and end of the crank.

Anyone changed one of these with the engine in the car? Can i just push the engine across enough to get the pump free? Open to suggestions!

i've done a few in situ, just takes some wiggling and possibly spinning it around, you need to undo the oil pick up pipe first though IIRC.
you may be best to drop the engine mount off and lower the engine a bit.

 

As above, let the engine drop slightly and with a bit of pushing and pulling it will come off

 

Loose the pick up pipe and apply a big bar to move the engine over, works a treat!
