Default Mondeo TDCi 2004 turbo help please

A friends mondeo has thrown up some fault codes on the diagnostics at our local garage, due it not boosting whatsoever

They are P132A and P132B

Apparently the boost control position circuit.

Ford have been as useless as ususal and said just buy as new turbo, that will cure it £1000 please.

To be honest that was a little worse than we had hoped. dDoes anyone know anything else these codes mean???

Would be most helpful, Thanks

Scott

i'm pretty sure thats going to be a problem with the vnt part of the turbo, if the turbo has a vacuum actuator then it can be fixed, if its an electronic actuator then its probably time for a new turbo.
when you find out what actuator it is call someone like Midland turbo for advise.

it will need a new turbo then, the mondeo suffers with the actuator going, normally chew the teeth of the worm gears when the veins get tight, some turbos rarley seem to suffer with the electronic actuators but mondeo's are one of the worst.
