Just put on my new zosrt, and charged the battery and put petrol in, and started the turbo, on tickover its ok, small bit of smoke, but when i move it smokes a bit, its white and doesnt smell of oil tbh, but what does white smoke mean? could it be down to just been stood for a few months and not started? (circa 6mths)

can be headgasket ie steam, but give it a good chance to clear first

 

In the weather were having at the mo I woudnt worry to be honest mate

 

I would have said just a build of water etc over time plus your new exhaust may have had damp in it

 

Is it steam or smoke?

Steam will be more transparent and break down quick. Smoke will be thicker and linger in the air for a long time.

 

Just condensation m8, all S2's stainless exhausats puff out white smoke at startup

 

may be smoke not steam, although it didnt smell, now the fooker wont start

not only S2's stainless exhausts, wish you should see the clouds from my Cossie or Fiesta

 

with the temperatures outside I'd say it's condensation m8 and wouldn't be too worried, UNLESS your lossing water as well

 

It means that theres a coloney or native americans (red indians) in your engine & are sending smoke signals to others in the area

 

 

 

 

just started it again and after 5mins loads of smoke from the engine, and zosrt, so i turn it off and look where the smoke is coming from and i think some bird has tried to build a nest under the turbo, loads of crap, bit of insulation there etc which solved the smoke issue me think
