Hi guys. My Mondeo has come up with a fault code of P2337 which is 'knock on cylinder 2 threshold' which basically means an injector, so I'm told. i bought a re-con one and recoded it but its still coming up with the code. My friend (who is ex-ford tech) tells me that it is recommended that all are changed so if this is the case I cant afford another 3. The injectors were about £140 each on exchange for the old ones and as said I already have one so only 3 needed now. There is white smoke aswell but only on acceleration and you can hear buzzing/beeping when you let off.
It was police ex-CID so unfortunately not many receipts as most of it was done in house but I have got a few including new clutch and DMF. It was done about 15,000 ago. Have literally just put another 6 months tax on it. Just serviced myself literally about 3 days before this happened. MoT is sometime next year I will have to check. Has the odd little scratch etc but then its 6 years old.
Basically as stated I really cant afford to splash out on new injectors. I have the mobydic so I can give that away with the car so you can code them yourself. And obviously still the old injectors so you can exchange them for another 3. If anyone would like to add any info regarding the DTC etc please feel free as if anyone is interested I would like them to have an insight. I'm not out to stitch anyone up.
Also if people feel the price is bit steep (or not enough lol) let me know and I'll adjust it. I just stated this; as the cheapest 2003 with same mileage etc I could find was £2200 so should save someone who is interested about £400.
Would swap for anything really as we are desperate for a good runner. I need to take the kids pretty much everywhere and at the moment they cant go far on the school holidays. Not to fussy about bodywork etc as long as its good runner.
Thanks (pics to follow)

Yeah I got the mobydic coding software fella but still not clearing. Thats when i was advised to change all of them. As stated if anyone interested I'll chuck in the mobydic with it.
If its cheap then I'll just leave at that price. Thanks for the info fella. appreciated!
