J Plate 4x4 Sapphire Shell - Updated!!
Sorry if this is in the incorrect section mod unsure where to post thread, i'm after info on value of my shell with the thought to sell.
After some constructive comments.
Its a 1991 J, diamond white sapphire cosworth, i bought the car a couple of years ago with the idea of a complete rebuild but have decide to focus my attention on my 3 door as i've got far to much going on.
The car currently sits as a glazed rolling shell as it has been treated to a full paint in the brightest ford diamond white @ a cost of £1400 (+ £100 for new genuine ford wing at that time), the paint work is beautifull.
I'm struggling to decided what it worth i know i wont see anywhere near my money back but i paid £1850 for the car (minus an engine) on the 10/6/07 and have since had it painted.
This is a perfect shell for a rotten 4x4 cosworth as it has only 5 owners, massive history file with mot's from 1994 to 2005 when it was taken off the road and the original bill of sale from Peacocks Ford London which was £22792 (for some reason the 1st owner had a discound of 4291.41) and when it was 5 days old it recieved a stage 3 conversion at collins performance total cost £3328.78.
Obviously the car is just a shell now again but the history tells a story and that always interests me with rs's (not everyone cup of tea i know)
Will up load pic when i can remember how.
Thanks please keep comments positive, cheers
More pics at the bottom the the thread
The car has been painted and stored for 18 months and when i went down today and althought the paintwork still looks lovely i have seen some things on the shell that have deppressed the s**t out of me and think i need to mention and they will reflect in the price.
As the shell has a top layer of dust i have noticed some car park dinks on the n/s
There is a scab axp size of 5p on the edge of rear window should be able to repair and should be covered by window rubber
I got the bumpers out to check them and found they havent repaired a dent before painting, it should heat up and pull back ok and with a splitter will be ok but just need to say it as i see it.

I'm in wolverhampton/west midlands, looking for some feedback about price but ideally £1500 to cover the paintwork would be good, sure this car with the history if finished to a good standard would be worth around 6k.

But i have got tuns of cossie bits that i will be listing a bit later including running gear, new *unused* spec r engine bay bits, two leather trims, ecs cos wheels.
Need to clear some space and focus on the 3 door.
Looking for a £1000 but may accept sensible offers poss p/x the bumpers and kit are included and dont forget this car has a great history and will make a great winter project.
