I really wanna get a s2 next year when i turn 21 but everyone i know is against this saying its gonna break down all the time and never be on the road!!


is this true???


i understand its gonna be an old car but just wanted some opinions of people who own them?

Go for a nice standard car with history and you cant go wrong,if the are looked after they give lots of pleasure modify it yourself and you wont get probs

agree with twins, dont buy a cheap one as theres no such thing as a cheap RS

take someone with you who has bought one before.

heres a buyers guide i write on the rsoc a while ago regarding series ones, its the same realy for the s2 but theres more of them about and there not looked after as much imo.

had mine 2 months, since then clutch cable snapped (happens on all
cars so dont count that), i have chaged tho "o" ring on the distributor
cause it was leaking oil, apparently CVH are prone to it, new "o" ring
only 80p any way and cam shaft went which are supposed to go
at 60k and mine lasted till 83k, but thats just a good excuse to drop a kent cam in.

yeah i agree buy a standard one, brought mine standard, no problems with it, only have problems when u start pissing around with things!,then things go bang!!!.

Be warned though owning a RS isnt cheap!, always something to buy for them!

i'l take u to view some but seriously, theyre not as bad as ppl make em out to be, get it set up properly and serviced regularly and they shld be cool

yeah i agree buy a standard one and you should be okay but mine spends more time at the garage then on the road but its modified and with modified cars they always spend time in the garage

110.000 miles running 19psi on my last engine...... it all depends on how u treat them and drive them I love mine tho
