Gmax? Jamex? KYB? Supersport? Apex?
Jamex were the thing to have years ago, now by far the cheapest too which seems odd!

Spax IMO are not so good. Had them on a couple of cars. Avo were on a mates Sapph and thet were silly hard even on soft setting. Got bilstein on mine at the mo and it feels too wallowy un the bends but the ride is nice. Had Gmax on my old Cavalier and for a budget set they were spot on, cant fault em if its just the look you want
i got Koni's on my saph... BRILL.
although, differant puroses i supose. Konis with Jamex springs Stiff as hell, fantastic handling, bad ride.
standard springs, soft handling, comfy ride.
although as advice to anyone lowering a car, lookup what people say about heights.
for EX on a mk1 fiesta if u lower it more than 50mm the inner arm is lower than the outer and it fooks the handling!

I supose yeah, it comes into budget. anything is better than standard for performance. But i supose, for confort standard i would imagine best
although for quality i always give my Konis a coat of laquer when they are new because the paint is really think on them and comes off, then they rust. but the dampers are good quality and seem to last well.

I'm now fitting Koni's and Cobra -30mm springs to mine. I ran that combination for years before the Gaz's, loved it. I'm planning to stick with what I know.
Err tall dark and handsome, beccy?
Sorry for having an opinion, (which ade asked for!) I'm not going to give you into trouble for fitting them on your car tho
on my own car, and 2 of AndyR's rs turbos a few years ago, we both agreed koni were shite/too firm...hit a bump and your teeth fall out,no idea what springs the 3 cars have.
He then fitted leda coilovers with softer poundage springs and it was night and day, could go over speed bumps at a normal pace, totally transformed the ride quality.

Of all the springs I have used during the years, I rate the -25mm Spax springs the most comfortable for everyday use. I found them slightly too low and I used spacers to lift the car which made it handle more level on track.
The absorbers I used were Koni yellows.
I tried standard shocks and lowering springs years ago, and it was totally terrible. Standard springs and Koni yellows are a rather nice combination on the other hand.
