i went out and did a feature on a mates Zetec S. photos are not edited. just reszied.

 

I wouldn't really call a few crazy angled photos a feature, but nice photos nevertheless, try taking some straight pictures though

 

there for my website, i have done a full feature on the car, there the photos from it, i have lots of normal ones of it, which i have used, thease are just a selected few

what would you call a feature out of intrest? in a mag?

This might be a stupid question but the motion pics, do you just hang out of the window and take them or have you got a rig?

 

got a rig, cheating i know, but dont fancy falling out, and you cant get the angle you need for the best mostion shoot. i need to update my cam anyways next month.. as i need a new one,

Nah like you have a write up on the car, the pictures would be on a better back drop, I dunno really, it just doesn't scream feature photos to me

well, a underground car park, a track or a run way are the main places the mags use, i have looked at many mags, spent Ł60 on alot of mags to just get some input on how they do there features, mines just features online, so wanted to build my work up to a good standard, im learning still of course so all the input i get is the best way i can improve, good or bad input it all helps.

 

In terms of the shots, the rolling shots are good, but ones of the whole car would be better. I think the sun shining at the camera is incredibly amateur and takes away from what you are trying to capture as the car goes really dark. Other simple things like on 3 or 4 of the pictures, you've got almost the whole car in, yet the spoiler is out of the shot, or front bumper, to me it looks like you've jolted the camera at the last minute and knocked the car out of frame.

All this is IMO of course and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I don't proclaim to be a pro photographer but I have a fair idea on taking a decent shot of cars as that's all I really take photos of!

 

Some good shots there.Were you hanging out of the windows when you were taking the shots of the wheels lol.
