What ya think my sapp is worth please!(now with pics of engine)
Well think the time has now come to give up on the car,piston number 4 has melted(although still runs fine just noisey
)also the standard brakes discs are fooked
here is some history and spec
She is 2wd 1989 original from ireland come over to the uk in 1991!she has had 3 plate changes the irish plate then to a private plate then over to its current plate(been on this plate since 1997 i think)4prev owners i have had her for nearly 8 years!just gone over 100k on the clock,I have Mots going back too 1994 i think will have to double check!thats all the history i have for the car!
She is not hpi clear
rear end damage(previous owner lost her going around a roundabout!)Has o/s/r quarter,boot and rear panel i think!also he put a n/s/f wing on her at the same time!the accident was in 1996!during this time he done all the shell had her resprayed etc,rebuilt the engine(i have receipts for this)to standard spec,its on a 205 block,the head has been ported slightly(i noticed this when i done the headgasket last year)genuine coopers O ring headgasket supplied by tony @turbosystems I removed the whole engine and replaced every gasket as she had some small oil leaks,replaced cambelt/tensioner(genuine ford)water pump and threomastat(all gaskets water pump etc supplied from matt lewis)All this was done last year done around 2.5k since!
Also fitted grp A coil,magnecor 10mm ht leads,044 fuel pump and re-wired,Brand new Rad tec coolant rad,full set on samco boost hoses,full set of roose coolant hoses,alcon 6 paddle clutch heavy duty cover!
All these again fitted in the last 2 years again max miles 3.5k
Baileys turbo damper,T34.55 (2 half years old max 4k miles)4x4 inlet feed fuel pipe aeroquiped!,pace rs 500 intercooler,light blue injectors,ggr dump valve,piper cross induction kit,custom made exhaust(made by london stainless?)fully polly bushed,lowered spax on the back think also on the front,uprated coolant rad fans,quick shift,-34 actuator,L8,pectal baby board,pectal boost control(11 position boost settings)twin air injectors(black ones)live mapped by tony last month,standard brakes with braided bike pipes,Grp A diff mount!she is running around the 360mark
Bling parts
Stainless cambelt cover,stainless fuse box cover,stainless coolant tank,stainless map sensor bracket,stainless ign module bracket,crome lifting eyes prob other bits!All from a&s autos.
Black rocker cover,oil breather kit from racetek,goodrich braided brake pipes!prob more!
The car also has the 4x4 boot and petrol flap release.
Standard lattace alloys(diamond cut!)although there are starting to corrode!
interior is very very good condition leather(which i out in!)water temp and oil pressure gauges in the centre vents!boost,
There is prob more but i can not think lol!i have all receipts etc!So what ya think you would give?all opinions thoughts welcome!

Sounds like the same scenario as me with my silver saph, i just didn't want to, so i fixed it in the end. Without sounding harsh you know it's just another saph with a blown engine, i'd say you'd be lucky to get 2-2.5k like that, just my opinion tho, and i'd say that's being generous. Your entitled to disagree obviously.

No offence but its an accident damaged hpi recorded car with a blown engine, i was offered my old cat c saph back last year for 3k with a fresh built motor and no accident damage, the car had a fire under the bonnet just to give you some sort of idea.

Imo better off getting the spanners out....... £2k if ya lucky with a fooked engine, chances are the turbos shagged as well all that molten piston running thru the turbo with the oil won't do it any favours....

i passed you on the way back from ford fair on sunday recognised the plate looked lovely on the standard diamond cuts, i was in a 4x4 freshly painted saph jus after the bp garage i think on the duel carriage way before m1

I would deffo keep it mate,worth nowt at the mo but if you get the motor sorted and keep it nice its value will climb eventually.Saw it at national day last year and its a very nice looking car mate

Personally I think it looks a nice car, but that doesnt make it worth more IMO.

When people say good Cossies have gone for £3k, these are distress sales. I know someone who sold his at Xmas a couple of years back for £3k, the silly bastard, he had spent £5k on the engine not long before
real tears, as they say. These things happen I'm afraid.
And as has been said, a trimmed shell with no engine or box is £1.5k so I'd price this car around £2k for sure.
