Default Chances of Covering This...

Hi All,
About a year ago i was stopped for no Insurance (August 8th 2008) and had my license revolked (6 Points within 1st 2 years of driving) (Before i get flamed to hell allow me to point out that KwikFit Insurance are RUBISH!) They admitted to being at fault for my policy being cancelled incorrectly but conveniently didnt record that telephone conversation

Either which way...
I'm 22, All grow'd up and i've had to take out an insurance policy with More Than at a cost of £900+ for me as a NAMED driver on my dads policy due to financial straints at the time.

On my new Escort Cab i need to insure it in my own name so i can begin climbing the ladder again.

Here is the basic spec of the car...

H Reg Ford Escort 1.6 CVH EFI,
- RS Turbo Alloys
- Rear Spoiler (Factory Fit i believe)
- Planned brake modifications etc

I do around 6 - 8k miles/year.

My 6 Points are on an IN10 I've since passed my test again and so got my license back, Officially i've 3 Years driving experience with 6 Points regardless of my license being revolked (Thats what martin at HIC Told me when i took out the policy on my old car.)

Since i re-passed my test i held a Policy with HIC (Highways Insurance) for around £800/yr, Third Party F&F with Any Vehicle Cover, that was on a 1.9 TDi Golf MK3 VR6 Replica running mk4 Engine conversion, Full Body modifications, Respray, Kit, Alloys, Suspension, Brakes, Window Tints etc etc.

Can i take out Classical Insurance on a H Reg Cab? What "Estimated" prices do you guys think i am likely to get?

try confused.com or just give a couple of places a bell. you'll probably get your answers a lot quicker than asking for guestimations on here.
just be clear and honest.

Online Quotes are useless, They see IN10 and Really don't wanna know the story behind it... Returns £4000+ For < 6k yr Third Party with Both Parents named on the policy, Above £5k Without them.
