what will i need as i'm doin a cosy cab on my mk6 and want it to look right i have the fully kit for the mk5 full front wings even got the full cosy rear quarters which are gonna need to be modded to sit right. so what i'm gonna need for the front end baring the ovious bumpers wings bonnet grill ect. will i need the mk5 front crossmember or is the mk6 one the same as not sure?

 

not easier just to start with a mk5 cab in the first place?

 

yea but the one i got was cheap and has got no rust on the chassis its a proper soilid car plus its had loads of work done to it rear disc convertion ect.
was goin to do a mk6 cosy rep but now want it to look as genuwine as possible

 

from what i can remember they are the same crossmembers

as u can see its for a hatch so goin to need to mod the rear quaters. the only reson i chose this kit instead of the normal ones people use on cabs is so the lower spoiler meets with the rear quater

 

Isnt the top half of the slam panel different? could be wrong, but I thought that it was different because the lights are 1 peice in the MK6 and seperate in the mk5, which will be a nother thing to look at, how to mount the side lights as they hook onto the inner wing on the mk5 but that is obsolete with the mk6 single peice light.

 

i'm using cosworth arches for a mk5 so should have the mounting brackets on them

 

cos i got the front bumper front wings goin to the the bonnet genuwine cosy one morettes and cosworth side lights and the fogs and indicaters for the front bumper as well as a mk5 tailgate and rear clusters perhaps mk5 cab doors as the handels are different but not to worried about that at present
