my 1990 escort rs is is not fueling properly, it needs to have the paddle on fuel distributor pressed slightly to start, it will drive but when boost comes its just splutters...
i know im not getting enough fuel i think it could be the ECU (black BOSCH one)
does any1 know hove i can test if it working and also if it has power?

 

was this running well previously?
i would suggest that your fueling is out buddy, that is normally the prime cause of "pushing the flap down" syndrome lol,

 

There definately sumthing wrong with my ECU as I was trying to get the car running properly and I removed the BOSCH fuel ECU which made no differance wotso ever, the car still starts and runs is if it was still plugged in....

How do I test the ECU or can I send it somewhere to be checked?

 

they go for about £5 on ebay mate so just get another one!
