ok folks i need your help

Cant say too much , but Is there some way find out chasis number?
I am thinking of buying something thats been off the road for some time, theres a reg plate... but the chasis number is rusted and i want to check the vin plate is right

just for peace of mind


i have the reg , just need something liek an extensive hpi check ??


anyone who can help , ???

I would say contact the DVLA and pay the Ł5 for the info on the car - bastard you need the vin for hpi or that would be easier - or maybe one of those text checks????

I'm not sure 100% what they give you, my mate has just done it and got all the original information regarding the dealer it was bought from etc but not sure if the vin is included.

Also those text checks you see advertised for Ł3 say all you need to give is the reg so they must supply the vin or they are pointless really.

Depending on what car it is, there my be another chassis number on the car. BMW offten have chassis numbers inside the fuse box lid for example.

Or could try you frendly main dealer.

 

PM me the reg beef, I should be able to get the chassis detatil off the reg no.

pay the Ł25 fee and get the logbook for the car from dvla then it will have the vin on it but ifit turns out to be wrong then you'll have spent Ł25 for nothing other than peice of mind
