Well I rate Toyo's over the F1's any day of the week, I have had both and the Toyo's are miles ahead!

i was going for the Paradas the other week on the front of my car but they didn’t have them in stock, I have heard that they are useless in the wet but a lot of people use them so they cant be that bad surely, I prefer the look of the Paradas too

But currently I run Toyo's all round and i cant fault them!

ive got paradas on and in the dry they are brilliant, tonnes of grip but they are pretty much useless in the wet

i tend not to drive quickly in the wet anyway, i'd end up in a bush with or without good rain tyres

I wouldnt use any of the above ona dry track if you want to drive home.

Personally Ive used Kumho ecsta spt KU31s and found them excellent as road/wet track tyres. For a dry track nothing road legal beats the likes of 888s and A048rs. Just depends if you want to have an axtra set of wheels and tyres.

A set of t1r's on my nova on a dry track didnt manage half a trackday before they were fucked and unsafe

Paradas will just about cope in the dry, but still arent ideal.

IMHO if you are doing trackdays you need wets and drys

I always thought the T1Rs were a bit soft for track use?

On another note aren't the R1Rs supposed to out soon? A halfway house from Toyo between the 888 and T1R.
Saw a new Evo on them the other day

As a couple have said if you're serious about trackdays i'd go for a set of r888's for sure, having used both the difference is massive! I finished off a set of t1r's at an airfield day the other month and they coped with that but on a proper track aren't really up to the job imo. Normal tyres go off so quickly too when pushing hard, in fairness if you're not likely to push on hard you may well get on OK with a normal road tyre.

bugger, should of held out for a few more replies before buying! lol

bought n paid for now, TBH its my first track day in the car so wont be pushing too hard, want to see if im going to get into it properly first, as i wanted a set of R888, but with me only replacing the fronts i didn't bother.

if i think im going to get into it properly i'll replace them.

cheers again for the info

That looks like it could be the next big thing, woud like some in the 888 GG compound, I reckon you could get away with them dry and wet well then

When I last spoke to Toyo they were on about releasing them this autumn but were unsure whether the financial climate would support a new model in their range
