Default T5 box with quaife internals

Has anybody had one of these gearboxes if so any good ? The gears in my standard box are fooked so thinking about up grades ! Any advice welcome.

i dont think quafie have good a good reputation for the gearkits in T5's

Isn't there a..........big tooth kit available from reyland? If not i'm sure he can sort out the appropriate gear set or box for that kinda power/torque.

I have around £1500 to spend on a box ,or i will pay top money for a mint T5 box !

i fitted a big tooth kit to mine,bit slow on gettin from 2nd to 3rd,other than that its been spot on,my gears were knackered as well and i wanted something that would take a bit of stick , kit was in around 1k ,then fitting, good value for money imo

yes the quaife kit, bought it from cts, built by myself and a mate,cunt of a job tbh,but so far so good

I have a standard T5 in mine thats had a refurb and all is fine with over 500bhp. Tko is the best option but will deffo be over £1500.

my 3dr was running 400 bhp and 400lb/ft and i never broke my box despite it being knackered - it took all the abuse I could throw at it (and that wa a lot of abuse) and it never broke.

changing gear quick was a pain in the ass tho

You think so?

Mine isn't any worse than normal i'd say!

I have a quaife kit with longer 1st-4th gears. Pulling away from a t junction with long gears an a r+d plated diff s "interesting"
