want some glass fiber doors for my mk 4 escort, track project. does any one no where you can get them or does anyone have any for sale?

 

smith and deakin will do them i suspect

 

i kno they do them for the mk3 sure they do mk4 aswell

 

personally i wouldnt fit them,, they are terrible to have in practice!

 

why?

 

mk3 doors fit a mk4 they are the same but the handles are diffrent

they never seem to close nice at speed

 

they dont they will flex open at the top ! so unless you are building a race car and weight is a big issue i wouldnt bother tbh

 

totally agree,, they are a bit unnerving

 

I have never bothered with them either.

I just used to cut out all the inner skin and just have an outer skin in metal that was held on with the proper hinges and closure fittings.

Weighed about the same then too So little point for a poor fitting product

Bonnet and tailgate yes but not doors
