... and for a Y reg car, it had NO rattles, creaks, body rolling that I expected. A thoroughly decent drive, smooth, quiet and a V. good looking car I want one!!!!! I even liked the interior, the dash isnt as bad as I thought- I could live with it knowing the outside looked SOooo damn good. Anybody want to buy me one for my birthday?

Great cars, but they do rot worse than Ford's IMO.

 

A mate of mine had a 1997 Evo and the fooker had holes in part of the rear chassis.

 

lovely looking cars mate and really nice to drive, i posted abit back about my mates evo 6 hes on this forum as well, his is pushing 510bhp and is awsome and thats on standard pistons, ive got a evo 4 and will soon have it on the road im just rebuilding the engine with a evo 6 motor its taken me a long time and will post some pics when its done

Yep, drove AJ's TME, VERY capable cars, just a little underpowered from standard

 

those are the best shaped evos, i got a lift in AJ's old Mak some years ago, and fooking loved it!

agree mate you give a lot of power away to the 4wd , my evo 3 was standard but the mid range power was fantastic, thing is all you need is a plug and play ralli art ecu and away you go 350bhp

 

I think they are still an absolute animal from standard but with a map and couple of other bits 360-380bhp on the road they are virtually untouchable.

 

I was still on the std ecu and whilst it wasn't the worlds fastest car in a straight line, down like local Hill O Rue road... it was insane. Especially when you trade up the tyres to formula R.

In my ideal garage, I would have my old one back any day.

i drive this one daily its my mates its for this one for sale at the moment on a 51 plate........rarevery are nice to drive fooking exspensive to run thoughi reckon i can get double the milage with my escosit has a nice reg aswell TM51 MAC

my bro had a white mak, reg was E6 TMK was a good motor i got a shot round knockhill, thing got tortured every day and never broke! well it did split the gearbox in 2 when he did an 8k rpm launch once, tit

Stripped it and used it for track days

i respect them alot, very capable cars, but, my own opinion and im not out for a fight, i think they are fooking hideous looking!

 

The 5/6 are still the best lookers, although the 8/9 are starting to grow on me.
