I have just had a lilttle patch welding on the botton of my car by a team welding.
The sevrice was a waste of time, they told m,e to bring my car at 9am friday morning it will be ready for me at 10am. so i thoigh great ive got the best part of the day to mess about with my sills.
I dropped my car off at 8:55am friday morning, i got told that they will ring me in 10 mins to tell me how much it was, he said round about £20.00.
I gets home watches a bit of tv feels a sleep, wakes back up at 12 noon, i thinks to my self better check my phone, no message so i rang a team up, asked if my car was ready, "no its not, ive had it on the ramps 2 times and i cant see where it needs welding" so i told them "if you look under the rear near side of the car just next to where the back box joints the middle its just there on the left" "o right i will have it done in 2 hours, is that ok with you?" "yer that fine, its a good job that i rang you"
Puts the phone done, watched some more tv and a fag n that.
Rings them back at 3pm "is my car done yet?" "yes its done" "great how much is it?" "i dont know you will have to ring back in a min, because i dont do the prices" i puts the phone down once more. Rings back at 3:30 pm, "how much do i owe you for the welding?" "thats £50.00 with vat"
so i puts the phone down, gets down there speeks to a lad to see why it took 6 hours to weld a patch no bigger then a pack of sigs. "we just got really busy" i give him the money walks over to my car, all the doors are open, seat been moved, been in my glove box, big black dirty stain on the rooflining, locking nut key has gone missing.
i walks back over the guy i given the money to "oi, wheres my locking nut key?" "its in your car" "NO it anit" "you are going to have to ring this number" so i gets my phone out rings this guy up "you have just lost my locking wheel nut key" "i havent lost any thing the key is in your car on the dash door" "NO it anit ive looked" "can you come back in the morning and i will help you find it?" i was just about to throw my phone when this over lad took my phone and said "look you had this lads key when you took it out the garage before, its a blue escort, wheres the key?" this lad puts the phone down, walks over back to the garage then comes back over, the lil fucker left it on top the welder.
that was it then i just got in my car and went home

sorry for such a long post be it has really pissed me off, and i dont want any of you guys here to have them same done to your car

 

It doesn,t seem like a great service they are offering and a bit pricey too.

poor customer service, but the job was cheap, i'd have been £50 + VAT easy.

unfortunatly you live and learn.

 

These guys abandon various m.o.t. failure vans all around south manchester, in lay-by's, usually with a dvla clamp and sticker on them, advertising for work.

 

How did he quote you £20 when he couldnt even see where it needed welding?

 

Seen the vans about look like cowboys....

 

i think the name "A team" would have put me off.

 

They called their company A-team welding ffs Does Mr T work there when he's not doing Snicker adverts?

i know i was well pissed on friday, i cant say the welding is crap because its good, it was just the rest of it lol

 

looky i have a guy i know who welds for a living! so he does my work, i supply him help with his skyline.

 

i seen their vans about aswell,look shite

 

Customer service is everything as they say.....the number of imes i've been told it will be be x amount of £££ then it ends up being more when you pick it up!
