Default XR3i Block?

Could I use an XR3i block to rebuild my rsturbo engine still running MFi? Obviously the turbo oil return would need to be sorted but surely that wouldnt be a problem???

So the MFi head will go on no problem, no issues with oil/water galleries not lining up??

Heads were all the same and oil and water galleries also. The only differences were - as mentioned - oil return

Time to look for a low milage CVH engine to rob of its block. I think it is going to be a good plan as a lot of turbo blocks are needing re-bored these days and I really dont want to go down those lines!

Piston height of a turbo is different to the XR3i items...

Get new oversized turbo pistons and rebore your block. Believe me, you'll regret it not...

pretty sure there is a square bit on cast of block that requires drilling and inserting a drain tube prob araldite it in there.....been told its easy to do by an engine builder.

but if anybody remembers the turbo technics rs16I conversion the sumps were modified to take an oil drain instead of doing the block.
