Default is the timing different on a kent cam than std

is the timing setting different on a kent cam rather than the std one ive been setting mine to std and it aint working rite not starting properly and ruff on tickover when it does start any ideas would be grateful

yes the timing is different you need to find what degree the crank should be in relation to full valve lift and follow setting i mentioned in piper topic

Setting it at TDC like a stock cam is 100% fine, it will not make your car run badly even if it is adrift by a degree or two.
Setting it as project rs says is correct but then you'll go and have the car tuned and your tuner will wang it about anyway to try and squeeze some more horses out!
Adjusting the vernier simply moves the power band up or down the rev range, you can gain a few more BHP but at the cost of low down torque.
