as above it is a 1995 esc cos with the multi v belts and i cant stop the tensioner squeeking i have replaced the tensionerpulley which cures the problem for about five minutes and the squeek comes back so i then bought a new bearing for it and fitted it and it did the same again i dont know what else to do what could be causing these bearings to fail after such a short time any help on ideas appr echiated

Are the belts set too tight causing undue strain on the bearings?

Is it definately the tennsion pulley, as mine is doing the same and it sounds like it's coming from the back bearing on the alternator, which dries out being near to the turbo.

i have bought a stephoscope which has a long bar on the end of it and every thing is quite apart from the tensioner which has an automatic tensioner but i will check the rear alternator bearing again cheers for the ideas
