Really annoyed at this and wonder if I can change it,

I have 2001 Mondeo 1.8 LX and the emissions on the log book are 187 C02g/km

which is £210 for 12 months road tax.

My boss has 2001 Mondeo 1.8 LX and the emissions on the log book are 185 CO2g/km

which the road tax is £175

Just the difference is enough to drop it below the 185 Co2 therefore paying less tax.

Who decides what car is what? my MOT says its less so can I change the tax class?

Its the same car both registered within 4 months of each other

Can I go off my last MOT?

 

No, it's not the same emissions as measured at MOT.

Whoever first registered the car declared it wrong, or your Bosses is wrong.

I'm sure I've seen you can get it altered, but it will be a DVLA thing to do, best of luck.
