Howdy all, Hope all is well and everyone is doing good. Just a quick Caution

Had the police knock on my door tonight and started asking if we had heard anything or seen anything that ended up getting my neighbour across the road battered the shit out of. Obvious answer was No!!!

After asking the officer about what happened, we were told that 2 guys had knocked on random doors on our road and had forced themselves in to the house and do the obvious and rob the. The first neighbour managed to fight them off. He said the lad had grabbed his throat when he opened the door and his first reaction was to close the door on his arm which he did and pretty much saved him from a beating.

The second neighbour wasn't so lucky and they dragged him out the house and started beating on him then ran into the house and took whatever they could find as well as knock the poor guys other half out and took her jewelery.

According to Police gangs are forming all round England doing this shit. They apparently choose the house they want to target during the DAY to see who lives in it. They mostly target old folks but also people with wealth on the street. Most of these crimes happen after 9.

So if you see anyone on your road hanging about and being suspicious ring the old bill and check through the window before you answer the door. Most importantly, keep a weapon like a Baseball Bat at arms reach from the door so you can knock any of the fuckers out if something does happen.

This isnt new really. follow the old simple rules of door chains, peep holes, looking through windows etc.

 

Defo nothing new but is getting alot worse than it was before!!!

 

I live on the ground floor in the only ground floor room in a 3 storey block of studio apartments, which are mostly rented out by foreigners... some of them get up to some dodgy stuff, 3 times now ive had to go out in the hallway with a breaker bar in the middle of the night/earlier hours of the morning because some foreign twat is making threats to kill and ringing every doorbell continuously and tryna kick the door down, usual happens, feds don't turn up, or turn up half an hour later when by this point the guy has either managed to kick the door in or ran off.. the door has came in once and there was 3 of them, big polish fuckers, had to barracade myself in my room.. can't be safe anywhere these days.

 

I pity the foo that tries breaking into your house

 

I got a extending batton sat on the bookcase by front door, same one the plod use, totally legal to have in your house too.

A good friend of mine had this happen except it was at 6pm in broad daylight IIRC and they had a shotgun.
So all the people above with their hammers and bats had better have a bullet proof head too

 

How many people would actually pull the trigger tho?
I'm not worried. I dont have a bat or a hammer. Round my way, its the kids with semi automatics you've got to worry about

 

If you swung a bat at them, probably quite a lot of them.
If you do as you are told and lose a few valuables than almost none of them.

A dog is a far better weapon than a hammer or bat when it comes to an intruder with a gun IMHO

I know of 2 people this has happened to recently,
I've told my missus not to open the door to any1, and she always locks it when she's in.
Then again we've got 2 alsations, so I think were ok lol
