Can someone confirm if Xbox Live is down?

My premium got red ring of death this afternoon so Ive gone out and bought an elite and cant connect?

Well yes the E74 is covered for 3 years even though it only a year old. I will send it off (6weeks to come back) then sell it on return...

Its 00:01 this morn till 00:01 tomorow morn, apparently live is getting sky TV, facebook and some other things later on this year or very soon anyway.
