Seen one that i think has been abandoned, it looks in really good condition but has grass growing all round it and years out of tax. Wandered if it's worth bothering about.

dunno but the front brake calipers were valuable back in the day (cars were bought just for the calipers!) to fit onto capri's / escorts before stuff like willwoods came along.

They were prone for corrosion from new, i would imagine if its been stood many years it'll be like a weetabix in the vital areas.

As for what they are worth, like most old cars, they have a value to someone, somewhere, but other than that, its the sum of its parts, ie could you break it and sell the bits on???

Get some pics up!

Cheers for the quick replies!
The car looks almost as new, i was amazed when i came accross it TBH as it's obviously been sitting for ages, it must be really low miles or have been restored at some point, there is no visible rust anywhere on the body. I'll have a think about if it's worth doing and go back and take some pics.

There's an idea, i've got a RWD saph in my garage, and i won't need to swap the brakes over...
No idea what it's worth as I can't find ANY for sale! Like i say it looks in very good nick, which is strange.

Sitting outside this beautiful abandoned building, you can't quite see it in the google link. Here are some pics.

Lol, it's on a turnoff before you get to Ardoe house, so not too far away. I sometimes get bored and look at stuff like this on the net, funny what you find on your doorstep.
Edit, yeah i took the pics from there as i didn't have my camera with me, i found this ages ago and when i searched for it online I found that 28 days later sitte, it had loads of cool stuff on it, look at the Tivoli theartre if your on the site, it's pretty amazing.

Thats right the 2200's are straight six, gearbox is in the sump itself same as rest of Alec's designs, there was an Ambassator as well which is similar.

As for the price and from the condition your describe I would say you would be lucky to scrape 1k.

Martin.
