I don't mind paying to sell on a site provided it gets decent coverage.
I don't like paying and wont pay to access a site that restricts you from viewing any part of it or the majority until you have paid up.
For example, if a site wont allow you to view the for sale section without paying first -the section could be dead and a waste of money. It is buying blind.

I don't agree with EBAY charges, then getting charged more to use Paypal! EBAY making us use Paypal as a payment option or don't use EBAY (Which I rarely do now

Yes ebay is a good way to sell items, but the amount it costs is ridiculous when you think about it. Yes we have a choice whether we want ot use it blah blah blah, but the problem is they know they can get away with charging so much as theres no competition.
If you sell an item at £10 and the buyer pays by paypal, they get over £1.50 in fees. 15% in fees is alot! Of course its a good business and i dont blame them for exploiting the fact they more or less have the monopoly. Its still shocking.
I cant see it ever changing though as ebay are that developed now that it would be so hard for anyone to compete with them.

I use ebay to buy and sell
As a seller, I do not like the way I am forced to accept paypal for an item that can only be collected (A car for example), and the fees are stupid, you pay to list, you pay to add a buy it now to improve chances of a sale, you pay to add photos and designs which will improve your chance of selling, to add it off you pay a final value fee and then pay paypal charges on top of all of this!
its barely worth listing things on ebay any more, I will usually give something a couple of tries on there and bin it if it doesnt sell!
However I start all items at .99 to avoid the fees now if it is something im just going to throw away anyway
