Well peeps, i have now provisionally booked the go karting centre EXCLUSIVLEY for us at 12 Midday on Saturday September 5th.

We shall be racing on the International 1365 metre circuit formats using twin engine 70 mph Karts!!!!

And this is the race we shall be doing!

Daytona Cup - 20 driver minimum 30 max
The sprint format; Individual racing - all drivers receive a 5 minute practice session followed by a 30 minute sprint race to the finish line. The top 3 drivers jump up on the podium to receive trophies in the award presentation.
£55 per person

The only other slot that they had available for that date was 7.30pm! So they are booking up FAST!

We will need to submit 50% DEPOSIT by JULY 1ST. And the remainder will need to be paid 1 week BEFORE the race!

IF YOU PAY YOUR DEPOSIT, AND YOU DO NOT RACE, YOU LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT.

I know its short notice folks, but they are already practically booked up til October!!

that sounds awesome - but isnt 55 quid expensive for only 30 mins of racing.

I organised a simialr thing here in slough and it would have come to 35 quid for 10 people or more for an hours race.

Not knocking it all but just thought I would share my tupence worth.

Nothing beats go kartin in Spain as we destroyed about 4 cars in the first day and then went back the next day and destroyed some more they didnt even care

 

saying that Maria i think Daytona is more expensive and outdoors wheras the ones we have here are in doors

I did a outdoor go kart day in Hemel once with the 70mph karts and they were mental.

 

R4N - i think youre right!! It is a bit much i must admit, but i think it is just down to the sheer size of the place and the good Karts!

plus, there isnt anywhere else around!

 

Cant make that date sadly, as its the castle combe summer action day on the 5th of september, and much as I like Karting I prefer action days at combe.

Will try and make the next one though if it doesnt clash with a trackday next time

 

PS

Price seems fine to me given the size of the circuit (nearly a mile!) and the speed of the karts etc.

for anyone that hasnt been, Daytona is a awesome track and the karts are mega fast, well worth the money imo.

I just hope it doesnt rain, as that makes it, erm.......... interesting, lol

they are awesome in the rain, its LOADS more fun in the rain. Just a shame they send the saftey kart out when it gets tokyo drift style

 

it depends if you are a fat bar steward or not, i went from being 2nd fastest in the dry to VERY last during the wet, lol

 

pmsl. my sister is a nurse and all the women went karting, and needed 2 more people to make the numbers up, so i went along with my other sister, it rained, i lapped everyone 3 times, although lapping a race filled with women is no acheivement. loads of crashes and drifting in the wet too

 

You better fucking win Lewis Hamilton, after all your bigging up. I swear if you don't I shall disown you, and well, if Maria or any of the other Woman beat you, I'll do more than disown you, I'll fucking come down and kill you.

Thats cheap, the one near me is £15 for 10 minutes on a 400m track and the karts do around 50mph
