Default Noisy Neighbours

Right, I’m not one to complain, but our next door neighbour has a habit of letting their two screaming kids out to play in the garden. There’s nothing wrong with that, you say, but this was 7:15 this morning! They are there with them kicking a ball about and chasing them around the garden.
We sleep at the rear of the house and as it is hot we have the windows open, but even with them closed you can still hear them
This happens most weekends, the wife wants to go and have a word with them about it but I think it may upset them.
Do you think it is okay to let your kids out to play at this time on a Sunday morning, or am I being grumpy

asking them to tone it down a bit until at least after 9 wouldnt be to much to ask.

7:15 is a bit early imho. People do like a lie in on a Sunday morning and I think it shows a little lack of thought for others.

Go see them and explain you lay in on a sunday. If they tell you to fook off, atleast you tried. Then get the angle grinder out at 6am on a sunday morning or have parties every Saturday night (As they are up early Sunday's) till they get the idea

notes through the door are a bit snidey, id reckon a simple face to face chat would give better results. if theyre up early to play with the kids then they sound decent enough people.
although they should be thinking about the neighbours when theyre making so much noise at that time in the morning in the first place.

As above, keep it friendly at first!!

Bloke near my mum and dad's in their small quiet village used to blow his horn as he drove out of his drive and down the road whenever he left his house to presumeably say goodbye or whatever, weather it be 6am or 11pm at night. A neighbour had a word which stopped him for a while but he started it again a few weeks later.

Another neighbour let us all know that he had a surprise for him, and he drove his car up this bloke's drive at 3am on his way home from work and laid on the horn until he got out of bed and told him to fook off.

He never did it again

As said, have a polite chat and point out that although they are just kids playing, it is still causing a disturbance and could they perhaps tone it down.

Should they not bother, then get a drum and bass CD and place some big speaker against their wall then crank it up from 8pm till the early hours!

I told my neighbours that I'm going to buy some chickens and a cockrel. They all asked why, saying that they make no end of racket in the morning.

I told them it's noisy enough each morning anyway so why should that make any difference?

Been subtle is the way forward with neighbours as they can all get tetchy for any menial reason
