they are not sought after atall i dont think, Probably the least sort afetr shell in the rs range.

For some reason they go for peanuts. Prob cause you can get whole cars (dogs) for 2.5K-3K

 

it'd be nice to store some good ones for ten years or so. im sure prices will start to go up by then. just looks at mk1 escort shells

One of my mates bought a 2wd shell for about £6-700 last year wern't that great condition came with no bumpers or interior but had few bits like the lights etc, nothing worth any money though.

 

should be worth over £1k then with all panels and full mint interior surely.

look at it this way,if matey has a rusty old sierra that needs loads of welding and then a paint job to be nice thus spending thousands if you put it in a bodyshop,whats the point when if yours is very good you could reshell into a decent one for much less.
i would rather have a original mint shell than a welded up possibly cocked shell too.

shell isnt rolling mate everything has gone of the front but rear still has polybushed beam and hubs. i have a sierra 1.8 sapphire that i could rob to get it rolling for ease of transport. make me an offer mate.

i think its worth it all day long mate, i paid £2.5 for jimgreens /staffis old shell which was fully trimmed and totally mint inside and out,not a blemish as i wanted the opportunity to build my own car as i wanted it.i dont think you would get a top class paintjob for the money your asking.

the shells are not worth enough untill theres a shortage of good 1s,and going by the way they rust,get broken for spares and turned into long term rebuild projects,chopped up for their floorpans,crashed,turned into trackcars and stolen it shouldnt be too long.

 

I bought my last one for £400 with doors, bumpers, side skirts, Carpet, Dash etc and that was mint, it had been painted underneath aswell. I only paid that much as it was off a mate so i knew how good the shell really was.

 

well at £1000 with interior and all kit and bonnet gotta be cheap. i want it gone its depressing me looking at it i hope someone will give her a new lease of life.
