hi people im building a off roader that i want to make road legal but it only has mountings for harnesses will this be ok for the mot ??????

if the mounts are good and have no corrosion within 30cm of each one, then yes

Also think harness has to be E marked for road use mate.

I have those exact harnesses (std belts removed from car), and have had MOTs issued for the last few years.
There was some talk of you supposedly being able to fasten the belt with one hand (which you can't fo with proper harness/buckle), but that just seems stupid and pointless. My local garage has no issues.

It has to have the british standard kite mark on it to pass an mot (providing the tester knows the rules).

If yours doesnt have one , cut the (normally) orange tag off the originals and glue them on the base of the harness . i had to do it on my 1st saff when i fitted harnes's .
