Default skyline r32 gtr

drove one today and seem pretty quick. its still on twin turbo but doesnt boost till about 4000 rpm ? but when it came on boost was very hard ? id guess 0 - 100 in about 11 seconds.

i dont know what state of tune its in guy said 550 bhp but it isnt that much i know. and seems to have a slight engine rattle but only at 3k revs above or below no noise ? but pulls very strong and has 2 bar oil pressure idle and 3 bar 2000 rpm up.

as far as i know it is. i know the guy is getting rid because it has developed this noise but doesnt sound like a knock to me, more like a rattle in the middle of the engine. its mint and 4.5k too ! il post a pick now.

looks good but i wouldnt buy a gtr with a rattle....

4k is freshen up money engine rebuild wise. these cars are expensive to run and expensive when they go wrong.

Although i had my GTR for nearly a year and didnt have to spend a penny other than services and pads.

mine was 405.4hp

i have 1 of these and mine is just under 4bar hot idle and when cold just under 8bar idle these are capable of 600bhp on standard internals even the intercooler will take that but they are known for weak oilpump and the shells are not very good.if that helps but mine is virtually standard apart from boost increase and its as quick as my cossie was and that was running about 380bhp

sounds like youre oil pressure was high, this can be caused when taking the clockes outr and not putting the cluster back together properly.

If its the standard guage youre looking at.

Heres was mine...

proper shape one though lol...

Was a cracking car.

ok, 8 bar idle is quite high thats all. Im sure its a good thing.

it used to come on boost quite early, dunno about 2k though, Did used to throw you in the seat but was quite smooth too.

I had paddle clutch in mine so it was good at launching, Got a bit of abuse but never broke.

Porkie had issues with his R34 though.

feels like a paddle in this car. just like the old cossie. seems to come on bost hard more like a big single turbo but its still twin ?

in first and second gear i could feel it like it was trying to spin then a light was flashing on the dash ?

Seriously fun car.

apparantly switchable from 2wd and 4x4 ? i thought it might of been traction control flashing ? do they have it ?

no traction controll on 32 but they do switch to 4wd when the rears loose grip there is a gauge in the top left hand corner in the dash that show torque split and should go up as soon as the front kicks in m8

tbh if i went for a skyline it would be the r32 gtr.classic shape and more agressive looking than a 33 imo

i thought the r32 had an rb25 engine in it?

R33 and R32 same engine... Same lots of things. RB26

I think older people generally like the r32 better due to looks.

I personally prefer R33 thats why i bought one, My best is obviosly R35 though follosed by R34 lol...

Big jump in money tho

would a standard gtr loose grip and switch to 4wd in first and second gear on a warm dry road ?

i also prefer E30 M3...

It wasnt a dig mate just an observation.

You can get a nice modified and looked after R32 for 6-7K

if i was you i would buy a decent one they are as unrelaible as any other if they are bad to start off with. I looked at 10 before i bought mine.

wasnt taken as a dig dude. i think im more of and 80's /90's guy tbh.i think the cars had more character then.

is it just me or are there more badly looked after skylines and supras about now than nice ones? it seems that the cars got cheaper to buy so younger lads bought then to say they own one but couldnt keep up with maintenance?

i really dont like the look of the other skylines but the r32 does it for me proper looker imo and drives bloody nice too. i gonna have a much more in depth look at the car tmrw. its my mate whos got it who ownes a garage and he isnt sure whats wrong with it and is worried i think. im confident its not a knock anyways i was popping it off the limiter and it was loving it, if big end was gone it would of spat its dummy no question.

speedo is in kph so is confusing when used to mph. ive been in a standard r33 and that didnt come on boost nowhere near as hard as this does.
