200 BHP @ fly
T28 what do you think i could achieve running the following:
1.6 cvh
bmc air filter
2.5"exhaust system
farndon steel rods
accralite forged pistons
7.5.1 compression
kent cvh34 cam kit inc vernier pulley
uprated valve springs
stage 2 head
s/s manifold
T25 turbo
uprated plugs + leads
ap organic clutch
lightweight flywheel
cts stage 2+ box
running on emerald management
above is not all of the mods obviously, just a rough idea,am after more torque than bhp

Probably not far away at that, my spec was as follows
Pace fmic
Turbosystems ECU
Turbosystems stage 1 Turbo
Collins -31 Actuator
Pipercross filter
3.5" Straight through system
Along with the usual DV and 15psi it made 164bhp atw at AVA which must be about... 195bhp atf? maybe.

so what can be deducted for transmission loss (in rough terms obviously)
i.e if you aim for 200 @ the wheels, what could that be at the fly?
when i talk about hp figures i mean the wheels. is that the general way to go? or does everyone else quote flywheel figures?
i never thought about my pub bragging rights
- Joking btw
my spec is.
std bottom end, balanced flywheel.
nms stage 2 head - new standard cam
-31 actuator. unknown turbo. 1 bar boost
nms chip
k&n panel filter in chopped airbox
straight through exhaust, backbox only
std intercooler
i think thats it.
i was thinking 170-175 at the wheels, looking to 180-185 with an FMIC
is that realistic?

A mate of mine years ago blew his motor up so bought a brand fire new engine from ford, he also bought a brand fire new turbo and metering unit while he was on with it. Mods wise he had the usual chip, filter and exhaust and a forge double capacity intercooler and that made 196bhp, was an absolute flying machine back in the day and was way quicker than the rest of the rst's about. I aint saying the figures are correct before anyone shoots me down in flames but it was quick as fuck for the mods it had

Transmission loss for a FWD is roughly 15%, so your 200@wheels is about 230@fly
my car is 206bhp at the fly wheel on mfi with a ported polished and gas flowed head kent cvh 34 and pulley stage 2 t3 turbo radtech front mount and turbosystems ecu chip and i make this power at 17.5 p.s.i
And the point of this question is ?????
Its all well and good saying i have this you have that etc its only a number on a graph drive it and enjoy it and stop chasing numbers because at the end of the day thats all it boils down to.

Seeing the answeres gives people different ideas and also gets people thinking about what they need, etc...
Engine has piper 285 cam and pully, new followers, reground crank new bearings, stage 2 chip, airtec single pass intercooler, airtec alloy radiator, airtec turbo cooler, stage 2 hybird turbo, new k&n 57i induction kit whit air fed hose, magnecor kv85 ht leads, ngk spark plugs, full samco hoses, full mongoose system, manifold heat raped as well as down pipe, new bailys dump valve.
Wont know of real bhp till next friday.

I think I'm running 191.8bhp @ fly
Green Filter
Airtec intercooler
Superchip
S/s exhaust
-31 actuator
and 16psi of boost.
Well this is as far as I know, I have a rolling road print out from the old owner in 2007 at that spec. As of yet I'v not had a chance to get on a rolling road yet.
I do know that my tow best mate, one has a Mr2 turbo and the other Pug 306 gti6, both played with, I leave the both of them for dust.
