i got a parking ticket in a multi story in scotland once. a pipe split on my sierra and all my water pissed out of my car, so i pulled over (not in the way of anything, infact, i was by a wall, out of the way of everything) locked it up, and went to the ticket office to let them know. they said no problem, so i nipped in the shopping centre to buy a stanley knife and cheap screwdriver to fix it. went back to the car and the fuckers had issued me a fine !!!

The fact that there was loads of water on the floor and a line of water up to my car didnt give them a clue it was mine.

I had to send it off to head office and contest it. didn't have to pay in the end, but what tossers !!!

Ignore it.
They will threaten you with all sorts of action, but they don't have any power to take any action.

I've just had a session with Europarc over one.

If it says PCN (parking charge notice) it's worthless

If it says Penalty Charge Notice it's legally enforceable usually issued by or on behalf of a Council

Oh yes, I know where you mean. When I'm down there I park a bit further down in the carpark where Screwfix is. I don't think they're limiting how long you can stay there yet.
